PROFINET (Process Field Network) ist ein industrieller Ethernet-Standard, der im Bereich der Fertigungs- und Prozessautomatisierung weit verbreitet ist. Es wird von der Nutzerorganisation PI (PROFIBUS&PROFINET International) verwaltet und gilt als Nachfolger von PROFIBUS (siehe ‎⮫ https://www.profibus.com/).

AC500-eCo V3 PLCs can be operated as IO controller or IO device via the onboard PROFINET interface. How this can be configured in Automation Builder is described in two projects in an ‎⮫ application example.
